Amman, Aug 9 (Petra) – The Highway Patrols Department Saturday urged motorists for extra caution in southern and eastern regions that were hit by extreme weather conditions as a heatwave continues to grip the Kingdom.
It said Al-Omari border with Saudi Arabia and the eastern Ruwaished region were struck by dust storms and gusty winds that reduced visibility to near 50 meters, and advised drivers for utmost caution.
It also said Al-Jafr and Al-Azraq were experiencing scattered rainfall, urging drivers to heed safety instructions for their safety and that of road users.
