Amman, Sep.15 (Petra) – Social Security Corporation (SSC) Director General Jadallah Khalayleh and Employment Policy Expert and Country Coordinator of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office in Jordan, Amal Mowafy, Monday discussed ways to promote cooperation to reinforce Jordan’s social protection system.
In a statement, Khalayleh noted the strategic partnership with the ILO to support expansion of social security coverage, ensure financial sustainability, develop communication programs, build staff capacities, and promote social dialogue.
Mowafy highlighted ILO support of the SSC’s “Sustainability++” program, funded by Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
The program expands social protection, improves access to insurance benefits, and provides technical support to update related legislation, including maternity insurance, in addition to promoting dialogue and building institutional capacities, she said.
