Amman, Aug. 24 (Petra) – The Independent Election Commission (IEC)
has opened nominations for the 2026 elections of the boards of
directors of the Chambers of Industry and representatives of
industrial sectors, ahead of the vote scheduled for Oct. 3.
In a statement on Monday, the IEC said candidates seeking membership
on the boards of directors or to represent industrial sectors may
submit their applications at the relevant Chambers of Industry during
official working hours from Wednesday until 2 p.m. on Sept. 9. The
commission indicated that nomination forms are available through its
website.
The elections are being held under the Chambers of Industry Law No.
56 of 2005 and its implementing regulations.
The IEC Board of Commissioners previously set Saturday, Oct. 3, as
the election date for the boards of directors of the Chambers of
Industry and representatives of industrial sectors.
