Amman, July 16 (Petra) – General Assembly of Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) approved the audited financial statements for 2024, the administrative report, and mandated Board of Directors to select auditors for the 2025 fiscal year.

According to an Intaj statement, Chairman Eid Sweis said the association’s board of directors embraced an approach based on securing “governance, activating organizational committees, establishing a nucleus house of expertise to support the association’s efforts in lobbying and decision-making processes.”

Talking at the meeting, Intaj CEO Nidal Bitar said the association implemented a series of initiatives and projects last year in partnership with local and international entities, mainly building the youth capacity in the Kingdom’s southern governorates and enhancing networking among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and regional and international markets.

The association, he noted, launched “new” projects during the first half of this year, aimed to study the gap in digital skills in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and DigSkills.

During the same period, Bitar added that Intaj carried out “SheTechs” program to support and empower women in the ICT sector, implemented a training initiative to grant professional technical certificates, in collaboration with major global companies, and launched an initiative to link university students’ graduation projects with the private sector.

As for events scheduled for the second half of 2025, he said the agenda features a workshop to enable companies to enter the Dutch market, a visit by a high-level official delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Communications and Technology, and participation in an exhibition to be held in Damascus before the end of the year.
