Baghdad, March 1 (Petra) – The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced on Sunday the extension of the closure of Iraqi airspace to all flights for an additional 24 hours, amid ongoing regional developments and tensions.
In a statement, the authority said it had decided to extend the temporary and precautionary closure of the country’s airspace to incoming, outgoing, and transit aircraft until 12:00 noon on Monday.
It added that the decision comes as part of precautionary measures aimed at maintaining the safety of air navigation and passengers in light of the current developments.
