Baghdad, April 16 (QNA) – President of Iraq Nizar Amidi discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Lebanon, during a phone call on Thursday with his Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun.
During the call, Amidi affirmed Iraq’s solidarity with the Lebanese people, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in halting Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
For his part, President Aoun stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination on issues of mutual interest. (QNA)
