Irbid, Aug. 19 (Petra) –Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement with the Jordanian American Business Council (JABC) to enhance industrial cooperation and open new opportunities for Jordanian industries in the U.S. market.
Talking at the signing ceremony, ICI President Hani Abu Hassan said the agreement marks an “important” step for Jordan’s industrial sector, which would streamline participation in trade fairs and economic events in the United States.
Abu Hassan added that the agreement would also create new marketing channels for Jordanian products in one of the world’s largest markets, boost national exports and “competitiveness” of Jordanian industries.
Under this agreement, JABC President Tareq Al-Hassan said the council wil provide Jordanian industrialists with a package of services, mainly organizing business-to-business (B2B) meetings with American entrepreneurs, offering advisory and logistical support to exporters, and facilitating access of Jordanian products to U.S. markets.
Al-Hassan noted these efforts reflect the JABC’s “central” role in serving the industrial sector and strengthening its presence internationally.
