Beirut, April 18 (Petra) – The Israeli army on Saturday carried out “limited” violations of a ceasefire in southern Lebanon, where a drone struck the town of Hadatha, injuring a Syrian worker, a Lebanese security source in Beirut said.
The Israeli army also conducted heavy explosive demolitions in the towns of Khiam, Qantara, Bayada, and Bint Jbeil, it said.
The source told Petra’s correspondent in the Lebanese capital that Israeli drones were seen flying low over the outskirts of the city of Tyre, where rescue teams were clearing rubble in search of missing people after the latest Israeli airstrikes.
The body of one person was recovered, and the search for eight other missing people continued, it said.
The source also said two members of the French contingent serving with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) were injured in a clash between residents and peacekeepers in Ghandouriyeh village in southern Lebanon.
