Israeli army demolishes 588 West Bank homes, facilities in six months

Ramallah, July 14 (Petra) – The Israeli occupation army razed 588 homes and facilities in the West Bank in the first half of the year, and issued 556 other demolition notices, the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said on Monday.

It said in a statement that 843 Palestinians, including 411 children, were affected by the demolitions, adding that the orders included 322 inhabited houses, 151 agricultural facilities, and 97 other sources of livelihood.

On Monday, Israeli military authorities tore down “unlicensed” homes and civilian and agricultural facilities in Bethlehem, Bethlehem Governorate said in a statement.

These included a three-story apartment building in the village of Marah Muala, south of Bethlehem, two homes in the neighboring village of Al-Ma’sara, and an agricultural structure northeast of Nahalin town.
