Jerusalem and Ramallah, Dec. 23 (Petra) -Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday arrested 44 Palestinians during a wide-scale campaign of raids across several areas of the occupied West Bank, claiming the detainees were “wanted”.
Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the arrests were carried out in the areas of Qalqilya, Nablus, Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
In a related development, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem through Al Magharibah Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police, according to a statement issued by the Jordan-run Jerusalem Islamic Awqaf Department.
