Ramallah, July 13 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces conducted widespread raids and arrests across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, detaining 15 Palestinians.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, the operation coincides with intensified Israeli military activities in the northern occupied West Bank, particularly in Tulkarm and Jenin, amid a rise in settler attacks targeting Palestinians and their communities.
In a separate development, settlers established a new outpost on lands in the town of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem.
Zayed Kawazbeh, head of the Al-Minya Village Council, reported that settlers set up tents in the town’s southern area shortly after an attack by settlers that resulted in the burning of a vehicle and the destruction of solar panels used by residents for lighting and watering livestock.
Kawazbeh emphasised that the region has experienced a dangerous escalation in forced displacement efforts over recent weeks.
He called on human rights organisations, humanitarian agencies and the international community to urgently intervene to halt this illegal settlement expansion.
