Beirut, May 25 (QNA) – The Israeli forces have stepped up their attacks on southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency, despite an ongoing truce that has been extended several times since April.
The ceasefire was signed on April 16 for a 10-day period and was later prolonged on April 24 to three weeks and again on May 15 for a further 45 days. Lebanese state media condemned the attacks as a violation of the agreement.
The agency said that Israeli fighter jets carried out aerial raids in areas between Kafra, Haris, and Zibqin, as well as a strike targeting Qlailah south of Tyre. Multiple Israeli airstrikes also hit Kafra, Haris, Zibqin, Qlailah, Tyre, Al-Mansouri, Tebnine, Shaabiyeh, Arzoun, Qabrikha, Toura, Srifa, and Hanniyeh, targeting neighborhoods, residential buildings, infrastructure, roads, and power grids, causing several casualties.
In Toura village, civil defense personnel and the Toura municipality are clearing rubble to reopen a road that had been closed after a strike on a house in a residential neighborhood that killed one person and damaged other buildings.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military issued a warning to residents in Nabatieh Al-Tahta, Louaizeh, Sajd, Ain Qana, Harouf, Zibdine, Kfar Reman, Dweir (Nabatieh), Adshit Al-Shuqayf, and Meidoun to evacuate. (QNA)
