Israeli gov’t issued about 762 deportation orders from Jerusalem in H1 2026: RCJA

Amman, August 12 (Petra) – Secretary-General of the Amman-based Royal
Commission for Jerusalem Affairs (RCJA), Abdullah Tawfiq Kanaan,
stated the Israeli occupation government employs a systematic
strategy, aimed to Judaize, Israelize, and Hebraize Jerusalem and
occupied Palestine.

He noted that this strategy is based on imprisonment, displacement,
and genocide, as well as storming Islamic and Christian holy sites
and implementing an expulsion policy, based on military orders and
Israeli court rulings.

In a statement to “Petra,” Kanaan said Israel’s escalating expulsion
policy targets all areas of Jerusalem, aimed to break Jerusalemites
‘ morale and expel the city’s inhabitants, particularly steadfast
defenders of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Old City, and various parts of
Jerusalem.

Kanaan added that the expulsion policy is racist and will be
shattered by Jerusalemites’ steadfastness.

On statistics, he announced the Israeli government issued
approximately 2,386 deportation orders from Jerusalem between 2021
and 2025, including about 1,499 orders banning Palestinians from
entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.

This year, he noted that these numbers are expected to rise
“sharply,” adding that Israel has issued approximately 762
deportation orders in the first half of 2026.
