Occupied Jerusalem and Ramallah, November 30 (Petra) — Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday, entering through the Mughrabi Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.
The Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that groups of settlers carried out provocative tours in the courtyards of the holy site.
According to the department, the settlers received explanations regarding the alleged “Temple” and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the compound.
Israeli forces imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshippers and Jerusalemite residents, confiscating identity cards at several gates leading into Al Aqsa.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces launched a broad campaign of raids and arrests across multiple areas, storming homes, conducting extensive searches and subjecting several Palestinians to field interrogations.
The raids across the occupied West Bank coincided with continued attacks by extremist settlers, particularly in Hebron and the Masafer Yatta area to the south.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club stated that Israeli forces firing heavily raided neighbourhoods in Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, Ramallah Al Bireh, Jerusalem, Jenin, Tulkarm and Salfit, arresting 30 Palestinians allegedly wanted by the Israeli authorities.
