Ramallah, August 10 (Petra) – Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the
Aqsa Mosque on Monday amid a wave of Israeli occupation forces raids,
searches, and arrests across the occupied West Bank.

The Jerusalem Waqf Department reported that settlers entered through
the Moroccan Gate, held tours, and performed Talmudic rituals in the
compound’s eastern plaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli police maintained strict entry restrictions on
Muslim worshipers, withholding IDs at outer gates and issuing ban
orders ranging from one week to six months.

Overnight Israeli occupation forces raids across the occupied West
Bank sparked clashes that left several Palestinians injured,
including many suffering from tear gas inhalation.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society stated that the forces arrested 18
citizens, including journalists and former prisoners, after searching
homes and interrogating residents.

In Yatta, south of Hebron, Israeli soldiers demolished a
180-square-meter home housing a family of seven, according to
anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh.

Israeli authorities also issued demolition orders for several East
Jerusalem homes over alleged “permit violations,” according to the
Jerusalem Governorate, which noted some of the structures have stood
for nearly two decades.
