Amman, May 22 (Petra)– On Thursday, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) carried on with the medical evacuation of two patients from the Gaza Strip, together with five of their family members. The “Jordanian Medical Corridor” initiative, which aims to support and give urgent medical care to our Palestinian brethren, includes this evacuation.
In cooperation with the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, the patients and their companions were evacuated by way of the King Hussein Bridge. After that, they were taken to certain hospitals to receive care.
Thus far, 41 children and 81 family members have been evacuated to the Kingdom by air and land transfers. After receiving treatment in Jordanian facilities, 17 of these youngsters and their families went back to Gaza.
