Amman, Feb. 28 (Petra) – The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) announced on Saturday that it intercepted a barrage of 49 drones and ballistic missiles targeting the Kingdom’s territory.
A senior military official from the General Command confirmed that Jordanian air defense systems successfully neutralized 13 ballistic missiles, while the remaining drones were downed after being engaged by military units.
The military reported that the interceptions resulted in material damage across several areas, though no casualties were recorded.
The statement urged the public to rely exclusively on official government sources and cautioned against the spread of “rumors or unverified footage” on social media that could incite public panic. Authorities further reminded citizens to report any suspicious debris or unidentified objects immediately to emergency services.
