Amman, Feb 23 (Petra) — Jordan’s mobile phone imports grew remarkably this year with 155,000 devices imported at a value of JD15.1 million during the month of January, according to the Association for Mobiles and Accessories Investors (Vision).
Cell phone imports during the same period last year stood at 148,,000 worth JD10.8 million, it said in a statement on Sunday.
One brand accounted for JD8 million of the devices, indicating a growth in brands in the local market, said the association’s head Ahmed Alloush.
