Amman, Aug. 24 (Petra) — Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA)
said Monday that registered mesotherapy products are approved
strictly for external use, warning against injecting or using them in
any way that allows them to enter the body.
Licensed mesotherapy products are classified globally as cosmetics
and are registered with its medical devices and supplies registration
department in line with approved standards and procedures. These
undergo certified laboratory testing, including appearance and
sterility checks, the JFDA said in a press release.
It called on importers, practitioners and consumers to strictly
adhere to the approved method of use for these products, and not to
promote, distribute or use them in any manner inconsistent with their
registered classification, nature and intended purpose.
