JIACC Nabs Agriculture Ministry Employee in Bribery Case

Amman, Aug. 13 (Petra) –Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption
Commission (JIACC) Thursday referred an Agriculture Ministry
employee to its Public Prosecutor after being caught red-handed in
accepting a bribe from a ministry client in exchange for handing over
paperwork related to the client’s company.

The JIACC, in a statement, said the client had earlier reported the
bribery request to the commission agents.

JIACC personnel went to the location designed to deliver the bribe
and caught the employee accepting the payment while in possession of
the company’s documents.

The commission added that the worker’s referral to the JIACC Public
Prosecutor aims to to take legal action into the bribery case.
