JIJ marks World Day for International Justice

Amman, July 17 (Petra) – The Judicial Institute of Jordan (JIJ), in partnership with the European Union, on Thursday held events to mark World Day for International Justice, as part of its support for the justice sector and strengthening the rule of law.

The event program featured dialogue sessions that highlighted origins of international criminal justice, principles of the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s work, mechanisms for investigating global crimes, and role of the national judiciary in supporting the international justice system.

During the activities, participants engaged in a discussion on the challenges to implement rules of international humanitarian law and role of the national judiciary in strengthening the world criminal justice system.
