Amman, Dec.27 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed the Kingdom’s full support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the brotherly Federal Republic of Somalia, expressing its complete rejection of the declaration of mutual recognition between Israel and the Somaliland region.
The ministry added that this declaration constitutes a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, and an infringement upon the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In a statement, the ministry’s official spokesperson, Fouad Majali, emphasized the Kingdom’s absolute rejection of any attempts to impose parallel entities that threaten Somalia’s unity and territorial integrity.
Majali also reiterated the Kingdom’s support for the legitimate institutions of the Somali state and its commitment to preserve stability of Somalia and its brotherly people and reject any measures that target its unity or undermine its security.
