Amman, July 16 (Petra) — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army on Wednesday implemented the seventh medical evacuation operation for child patients from Gaza, which included 35 patients, along with 72 family members, as part of the Jordan Medical Corridor initiative implemented in cooperation with Jordan’s Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation.
This is the largest group of patients evacuated since the initiative was launched in March upon Royal directives. A total of 112 children and 241 family members have been medically evacuated by land and air to Jordan so far.
The patients and their family members were evacuated into Jordan through the King Hussein Bridge.
The Armed Forces continue cooperating with the concerned entities to evacuate more child patients from Gaza, despite various technical and logistical challenges.
