Amman, August 27 (QNA) – Jordan’s Northern Military Region foiled an attempt by two individuals to cross the country’s border illegally, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said.
“Border Guard units detected the two individuals while they were attempting to cross one of the northern border fronts and responded in accordance with the established rules of engagement,” the army said in a statement.
The two individuals were apprehended before crossing the border and referred to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings, the statement added, reaffirming commitment to safeguarding Jordan’s borders and confronting any unlawful activity that could threaten the country’s security and stability.
