Amman, April 5 (Petra) — Jordan on Sunday condemned slurs against the Kingdom during a gathering in Damascus, Syria.
Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs spokesperson Fouad Majali said the ministry had received assurances from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the Syrian government rejects and condemns any offense against Jordan.
Majali added that Syrian authorities would take the necessary legal measures against a limited number of individuals who insulted Jordan, describing the act as a violation of the law and a futile attempt to undermine the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
