Amman, March 10 (QNA) – Jordan on Tuesday condemned in the strongest terms a drone attack targeting the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, calling for full respect for international law protecting diplomatic missions.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to respect international law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which guarantee the protection of diplomatic premises and personnel.
The UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq was targeted by a drone attack, causing material damage but no casualties. (QNA)
