Amman, June 22 (Petra) The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Mar Elias Church on the outskirts of Damascus, which left dozens dead or injured.
Ministry spokesperson Sufian Qudah affirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in the wake of the tragic assault, reiterating the kingdom’s firm rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and peace.
Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for the Syrian government’s efforts to combat terrorism and safeguard the country’s security, unity, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people.
He also extended heartfelt condolences to the Syrian government and people and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
