Amman, July 23 (QNA) – Jordan on Thursday decried the Houthi attack on a Saudi vessel transiting the Red Sea, denouncing the act as a “blatant violation of international law and the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.”
In a statement, Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned the assault poses a “direct threat” to maritime safety and navigation security in the region.
The ministry also pledged Jordan’s “absolute” solidarity with Saudi Arabia, expressing its support for “all measures” taken by the Gulf country to safeguard its security, stability, and national assets. (QNA)
