Amman, Aug. 19 (Petra) — Jordan dispatched its 12th relief convoy to
Lebanon on Tuesday, carrying humanitarian and medical assistance,
through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and in
coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army.
The convoy consists of 24 trucks carrying food supplies, medicines,
and medical and health supplies. The aid was prepared and dispatched
according to humanitarian and medical needs, in coordination with the
relevant authorities to ensure it reaches those in need.
The 12th convoy is part of a series of relief convoys sent by Jordan
to support people in Lebanon, as part of ongoing efforts to provide
humanitarian and relief assistance in cooperation and coordination
between the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army and the JHCO.
The JHCO affirmed its continued efforts to implement humanitarian
responses and deliver aid to those in need, reflecting Jordan’s
continued support for those affected by crises.
The organization also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the
Syrian authorities to facilitate the passage of humanitarian convoys
and their arrival in Lebanon, reaffirming its continued efforts to
provide humanitarian and relief assistance.
