Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra) – Waseem Al-Haddad, General Manager of the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB), met with Lorenz Petersen, Head of the German International Cooperation (GIZ) Office in Jordan, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and developing joint projects.
Al-Haddad stressed the importance of coordinating efforts to ensure that implemented projects align with the public sector modernization roadmap and the broader economic reform vision. He emphasized that such coordination forms a key foundation for achieving sustainable developmental impact and supports municipalities in efficiently implementing their local development plans.
Both parties highlighted the need for continued collaboration to strengthen the effectiveness of joint project management, ensuring tangible results that advance the modernization and development agenda and bolster municipalities’ role in sustainable local development.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing projects and explored opportunities for new programs and initiatives in areas such as sustainable financing, climate action, institutional capacity building, and enhancing municipal performance and service delivery efficiency.
