Amman, July 2 (Petra) – The Arab Renewable Energy Commission has hailed Jordan as a leading model in energy transition and sustainable development, citing the country’s strong support for renewable energy and electric vehicles, as well as its strategic position as a hub for regional and intercontinental power connectivity.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the commission emphasized that Amman will always remain a capital of Arab solidarity and cooperation, noting that both the public and private sectors in Jordan are united in their efforts to support all Arab nations without exception.
The commission also praised Syria’s progress toward economic recovery and the reconstruction and modernization of its power grid through renewable energy solutions aligned with clean energy and sustainability goals.
The recent inauguration of the commission’s regional office in Syria, the statement added, is a strong indicator of a promising future for renewable energy and electric mobility in the region.
