Amman, Oct. 8 (Petra) — Jordan took part in the Middle East Education and Training Exhibition (MEETES) held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, showcasing its growing reputation as a premier regional destination for higher education and educational tourism.
The country’s presence was marked by a special pavilion titled “Study in Jordan,” organized by the Jordan Tourism Board in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The three-day event, hosted by Icon International for Exhibitions and Conferences at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events, is recognized as one of the leading platforms in the education sector within the region.
The Jordanian pavilion featured a diverse array of public and private universities, colleges, and specialized aviation academies. Jordan’s Consul General in Jeddah, Ambassador Mohammad Hmeid, personally visited the exhibition, engaging with representatives from the participating institutions.
This collaboration reflects the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Tourism Board, which jointly work to promote educational tourism in Jordan.
Jordan’s participation supports the country’s 2023–2027 national plan aimed at attracting more international students and boosting the competitiveness of its educational system both regionally and globally.
The exhibition attracted a wide audience of prospective students and their families, with strong interest in the Jordanian educational offerings and initiatives.
