Amman, Aug. 18 (Petra) — The Audit Bureau concluded celebrations
marking the golden jubilee of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit
Institutions (ARABOSAI) on Tuesday, reflecting on 50 years of joint
institutional action and advancing the audit profession across the
Arab world.

Held under the theme “Towards a Brighter Auditing Future: 50 Years of
Dedication,” the anniversary gathering convened heads and delegations
of supreme audit institutions (SAIs) across Arab nations, regional
and international organization representatives, diplomats, and senior
government officials.

The golden jubilee marked a major milestone for ARABOSAI, combining a
review of five decades of professional cooperation, knowledge
sharing, and expertise exchange with a forward-looking vision for the
future of auditing amid rapid technological shifts, artificial
intelligence (AI), data analytics, and evolving public management
practices.

President of the Audit Bureau Radhi Al-Hamadeen said Jordan’s hosting
of ARABOSAI’s 50th anniversary reflects the organization’s role in
building trust, cooperation, and professional partnership among
member institutions, elevating Arab audit capabilities on the global
stage.

Al-Hamadeen added that the event holds added significance given
ARABOSAI’s role as the regional framework for Arab SAIs and its
alignment with the International Organization of Supreme Audit
Institutions (INTOSAI), which ensures Arab institutions stay
connected with global auditing developments and international best
practices.

A specialized panel discussion highlighted modern practices in
deploying advanced technologies including AI to refine audit
methodologies, boost efficiency, analyze audit evidence, and enhance
risk detection and response capabilities.

Panel participants recommended boosting the readiness of SAIs,
advancing their human, technical, and professional capacity,
broadening the use of digital tools and analytics in public financial
auditing, and deepening knowledge sharing across member bodies.

Al-Hamadeen emphasized that technological transformation requires
SAIs to build agility and foresight, noting that independence,
objectivity, neutrality, and technical competence remain the
foundational pillars of public audit credibility.

On the sidelines of the event, heads of delegations held bilateral
meetings and signed several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed
at strengthening institutional cooperation, joint initiatives, and
professional exchange between peer audit bodies.

The audit bureau chief affirmed that Jordan remains committed to
supporting Arab institutional collaboration, preserving national
resources, and furthering shared developmental goals.
