Amman, October 8 (Petra) — The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and the Information and Communications Technology Association (int@j) held an awareness session on Wednesday titled “Digital Transformation and Innovation to Achieve the Strategic Objectives of the Industrial Sector.”
JCI Deputy Director General Ishaq Arabiyat said that the Fourth Industrial Revolution offers unprecedented opportunities for national industries through the Internet of Things and data analysis.
He added that such sessions, held in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), provide platforms to exchange expertise and launch initiatives supporting industrial innovation.
Nidal Bitar, CEO of int@j, said the association connects university students’ graduation projects with the needs of industrial sectors, turning ideas into practical solutions that enhance competitiveness and growth.
Deputy Director of GIZ, presented the “Innovative Ways to Support Employment” project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. He noted that the project supports SMEs not only technically but financially, linking them with donor institutions for larger funding opportunities.
The session addressed assessing factories’ readiness for digital transformation, artificial intelligence and their applications in industrial process management, manufacturing and production automation.
