Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khraisat on Monday discussed with Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan, Hideki Asari, prospects for boosting cooperation in agriculture, particularly as the sector grapples with limited water resources and shifting climate conditions.
Khraisat highlighted the longstanding ties and strong friendship between Jordan and Japan, praising Tokyo’s pioneering expertise in agricultural technology and innovation.
He said Jordan looks forward to drawing on Japanese know-how in smart agriculture and modern irrigation techniques to ensure optimal water use and provide practical, sustainable solutions for the sector.
Ambassador Asari reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations and said Japan remains committed to advancing cooperation in agricultural development and knowledge exchange in ways that enhance food security and sustainable growth.
