Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra) – The Lower House’ Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Haitham Ziyadin, met with Japanese Ambassador Asari Hideki to explore ways to strengthen cooperation and develop bilateral relations.
Ziyadin highlighted that His majesty King Abdullah II’s recent visit to Japan reflects a robust Jordanian-Japanese partnership and deep strategic relations, stressing Jordan’s commitment to advancing relations in political, economic, and parliamentary fields.
He pointed to the strong personal ties between the King and the Emperor of Japan as an asset to further boost bilateral cooperation.
Ziyadin emphasized Jordan’s continued diplomatic efforts internationally and in the Arab region to achieve comprehensive and just peace, foremost of which is the establishing an independent Palestinian state.
Members of Parliament underscored the solid investment and development partnership between Jordan and Japan, highlighting the Kingdom’s leading role in medical and religious tourism and its regional and international standing.
They called for enhanced parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of expertise to broaden joint work and reinforce the historical ties.
