Jordan, Kingdom of Bhutan establish official diplomatic relations

New York, Aug. 3 (Petra) — A joint communique establishing official
diplomatic relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the
Kingdom of Bhutan was signed on Monday in New York.

The agreement aims to strengthen friendly ties, enhance bilateral
cooperation, and establish institutional frameworks across various
fields, particularly political, economic, social, cultural, and
scientific domains, to serve the mutual interests of both nations.

The joint communique was signed at the headquarters of the Permanent
Mission of Jordan to the United Nations by Jordan’s Permanent
Representative to the UN, Ambassador Walid Obeidat, and Bhutan’s
Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Tenzin Wangchuk, on
behalf of their respective governments.
