Jordan-Korea ICT Center Named World’s Best Information Access Facility for 2025

Salt, May 19 (Petra) — The Jordan-Korea Center for Information and Communications Technology, affiliated with Al-Balqa Applied University, has been awarded the title of Best Information Access Center in the World for 2025, following a global evaluation conducted by South Korea’s National Information Society Agency (NIA).

The center surpassed 54 international counterparts based on criteria such as operational efficiency, performance quality, and technological output.

The award marks a major milestone for the university, reflecting its rising profile in the global ICT landscape. University President Ahmad Fakhri Al-Ajlouni welcomed the recognition as a testament to the performance of the university’s specialized units, noting the importance of continued institutional support for quality-driven initiatives.

“This achievement highlights the results of sustained oversight and an enabling administrative environment that empowers innovation and results,” Al-Ajlouni said, crediting the center’s team for their commitment to excellence and technical advancement.

The center’s director, Alaa Al-Bakheet, also emphasized the collective effort behind the award, describing it as the product of close collaboration between the center’s staff and strong backing from the university administration. She noted that the team’s shared vision, technical dedication, and work environment played a crucial role in earning international acclaim.
