Amman, Aug. 9 (Petra) — Minister of Justice Bassam Talhouni and his
Palestinian counterpart, Sharhabeel Al-Zaeem, on Sunday discussed
cooperation in legal and judicial fields, as well as the exchange of
expertise and experience to help develop the justice system.

During a meeting, Talhouni stressed the deep relations between the
Kingdom and Palestine and Jordan’s commitment to continuing its
support for the Palestinian people and strengthening joint
cooperation across various fields, particularly the justice sector.

He also underscored Jordan’s steadfast positions, under the
leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting the
legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and ongoing efforts to
achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state
solution.

Talhouni noted that the Ministry of Justice “places its capabilities
and expertise at the service of Arab cooperation, based on its belief
in the importance of integration and the exchange of expertise and
successful experiences.” He expressed the ministry’s readiness to
continue cooperation with its Palestinian counterpart across programs
and fields that serve the justice sector and enhance the efficiency
of its institutions.

Talhouni and Al-Zaeem stressed the importance of continued
coordination and cooperation between the two ministries in a manner
that serves mutual interests, strengthens justice, upholds the rule
of law, and reflects the deep historic relations between Jordan and
Palestine.
