Amman, Aug 13 (Petra) – Jordan’s electricity system on Wednesday recorded its highest load in the country’s history at 4,800 megawatts, according to data from the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).
The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) said the system maintained stability and operational efficiency despite the exceptional heatwave affecting the Kingdom since the start of the week.
NEPCO urged the public to help conserve electricity to ensure an uninterrupted supply and maintain the stability of the national grid.
