Aman, July 23 (QNA) – Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission said the recently issued information bulletin from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) concerning Jordanian airspace is merely an advisory recommendation and does not impose any legal or operational obligation on airlines.

Chairman of Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Haitham Misto said in a press statement today that Jordanian airspace remains fully safe for civil aviation operations, with flights continuing normally and steadily within the Amman Flight Information Region.

He stressed that the commission had fully implemented all necessary operational and security measures to mitigate risks, in complete accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) provisions and national regulatory requirements.

He added that the commission continues to maintain close and direct coordination with its regional and international partners, particularly EASA and ICAO, to ensure the application of the highest safety standards.

Airspace management and surveillance systems are also subject to continuous monitoring to ensure that air navigation services remain operational at the highest levels of efficiency. (QNA)
