Amman, May 13 (Petra) — A total of 33 leading Jordanian food manufacturing companies have kicked off their participation in the Saudi Food Manufacturing 2025, which opened on Monday in Riyadh and will run for three days.
The Jordanian presence at the event is coordinated by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), while the exhibition’s third edition brings together more than 1,300 exhibitors from around 100 countries, including Jordan.
Senator Ahmad Al-Khudari, JEA Chairman, said in a statement on Tuesday that Jordan’s participation aims to boost national exports and explore new markets, while also offering a chance to connect with global industry players and keep pace with the latest innovations in food manufacturing.
Al-Khudari emphasized the association’s ongoing efforts to help Jordanian companies expand their international reach and promote their products on a global stage. This year’s exhibition, with its diverse international turnout, presents a valuable platform for exposure and networking.
He highlighted Saudi Arabia as a key market for Jordanian industrial exports, citing the close historical and geographical ties between the two nations. He noted that Jordan’s industrial sector has made significant strides in recent years, particularly in product quality and competitiveness, with Jordanian goods now reaching over 150 global markets.
Al-Khudari also stressed the critical role of export growth in driving economic development, creating jobs, attracting investment, and strengthening Jordan’s foreign currency reserves.
Echoing this sentiment, Haleem Abu Rahmeh, JEA Director General, said the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia are reflected in this strategic participation. He described the Saudi market as a high-potential destination for Jordanian food and agricultural products, especially as consumer demand in the Kingdom continues to rise for premium-quality goods.
Abu Rahmeh pointed out that Jordanian food exports, such as dates, fresh produce, and processed foods, are well-aligned with both Gulf and international standards, giving them a competitive edge in the region.
He underscored the importance of expanding economic cooperation between the two countries through increased trade, investment partnerships, and greater collaboration between public and private sectors.
According to Abu Rahmeh, the exhibition serves as a strategic opportunity for Jordanian and Saudi food producers to strengthen ties, enhance regional supply chain integration, and contribute to food security and job creation.
He concluded by reaffirming the association’s goal of positioning Jordan as a reliable and innovative supplier of food products in Saudi Arabia and the broader Gulf market. He also highlighted ongoing coordination between the Jordan Exporters Association and both the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry to help local manufacturers tap into new markets and maximize their global visibility. Jordan’s pavilion at the event spans 510 square meters, providing a prominent platform for showcasing the Kingdom’s food manufacturing capabilities.
