Amman, Mar. 8 (Petra) –Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates “strongly” condemned the ongoing terrorist attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians, most recently the aggression on the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah, which killed three Palestinians and injured others.
The ministry held Israel, the occupying power, accountable for these attacks.
In a statement Sunday, the ministry’s official spokesperson, Fouad Majali, affirmed the Kingdom’s “absolute” rejection and condemnation of these attacks and the escalating settler terrorism against the Palestinian people.
Majali described this escalation as a reprehensible act and a continuation of the systematic aggression on Palestinian civilians amid dangerous and illegal Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank.
On the required action, Majali urged the international community to assume its legal and moral obligations and compel Israel, the occupying power, to stop its dangerous escalation and settler attacks.
Majali also called for fulfilling the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the sole way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees the region’s security and stability.
