Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Foreign and Expatriate Ayman Safadi on Sunday received a phone call
from Syrian Foreign Minister and Expatriates Minister Asaad
al-Shaibani.
Safadi and al-Shaibani discussed the fraternal ties between the two
countries and ways to strengthen them, as well as the work of the
Jordanian-Syrian Higher Coordination Council.
The two ministers also discussed regional developments, stressing the
importance of continued coordination and consultations on them and
supporting efforts to end the escalation and restore calm and
consolidate security and stability in the region.
