Amman, July 1 (Petra) – Jordan welcomed on Tuesday US President Donald Trump’s signing of an executive order to lift sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates statement.
Ministry spokesperson Sufian Qudah welcomed the decision, highlighting its potential to support Syria’s reconstruction efforts, foster economic cooperation and promote stability and development for the Syrian people, according to the statement.
Qudah said Jordan supports Syria’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, calling for unity, the fight against terrorism and safeguarding the rights of all Syrians.
