Amman, Sept. 23 (Petra) – Rasmi Hamzeh, CEO of the Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, has been named “Best CEO in Jordan and the Middle East” for 2025 by the UK-based Global Banking & Finance Awards.
According to a ministry statement on Tuesday, the award acknowledges Hamzeh’s leadership and role in advancing sustainable development in Jordan and the region.
Hamzeh said the acknowledgment promotes the Fund’s international presence and programs globally and opens wider financing opportunities that support the national economy. He added that the award reflects a positive transformation in public sector performance toward greater efficiency and excellence.
He noted that two Jordanian commercial banks received awards from the same institution in 2025, strengthening Jordan’s regional standing in governance and management.
The annual award is among the most prominent international honors in economy, finance and development, evaluated by a specialized jury based on strict criteria and impact reports.
In 2024, JREEEF received the “Best Development Fund Jordan 2024” award, affirming its growing institutional role in the energy and economic development sectors.
