Amman, July 1 (Petra) – The Jordanian Campaign, in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), is continuing its relief efforts in the Gaza Strip by operating a central bakery in Khan Yunis to provide free bread to displaced families in one of the most densely populated areas in the strip’s southern regions.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Jordanian Campaign team in Gaza said the bakery has been operating continuously for more than a month, producing bread daily using large quantities of flour to distribute free of charge to affected and displaced families, mainly in the Al-Mawasi area, where residents were instructed by occupation forces to relocate during the recent escalation.
Activist Nour Najjar, from the Campaign team in Gaza, affirmed the team’s commitment to operating the bakery and expanding the relief response.
Najjar expressed gratitude for the support from Jordan’s leadership, government, and people for supporting the Palestinian people during these exceptional circumstances in the strip.
The initiative, which is part of a series of relief activities carried out by the Jordanian Campaign since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, aims to address the dire humanitarian conditions amid closure of crossings, rising prices, and scarcity of food supplies.
