Jordanian community in UK celebrates Kingdom’s 79th Independence Day

London, May 26 (Petra) – The Jordanian Forum in the United Kingdom held a celebration on Monday marking the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The event was attended by members of the Jordanian community, as well as representatives from the Jordanian Embassy in London, in a festive atmosphere that reflected a strong sense of unity and national pride.

Hilmi Harahsheh, president of the forum, along with several community representatives, delivered speeches expressing deep pride in their homeland and unwavering loyalty to the Hashemite leadership under His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Speakers highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting national identity and strengthening ties among Jordanians abroad to help foster a cohesive community that embodies the values of the Jordanian nation.

They also praised the achievements Jordan has made under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and reaffirmed their continued support for the country’s development in all fields.

The celebration featured a variety of artistic performances, including patriotic and traditional Jordanian songs, which brought a sense of joy and nostalgia, enhancing the feeling of belonging and national pride among the attendees.
