Amman, August 6 (Petra) – A Jordanian-Danish health seminar organized
by the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), in cooperation
with the Danish Embassy, opened Wednesday with experts and speakers
from Jordan, Denmark, and Egypt.

The seminar aimed to promote the exchange of expertise and review
health care practices and experiences.

In a press statement Thursday, JFDA Director-General Rana Obeidat
stressed the need for a clear plan to maximize the benefits of health
technology assessment systems, particularly the Jordanian Patient
Support Program.

Obeidat underscored the importance of exchanging international and
regional expertise in health technology assessment to improve
practices and support knowledge-based health decisions.

The seminar was moderated by Danish Embassy Head of Economic
Diplomacy and Trade Nesreen Obeid and featured presentations,
interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions.

Head of the Pharmacoeconomics Division Al Hanouf Al-Rudaini presented
the JFDA’s role in medicine pricing, which is based on approved
pricing criteria and economic studies.

The seminar also addressed health technology assessment as a tool for
supporting evidence-based decision-making, improving spending
efficiency, strengthening pharmaceutical and treatment decisions, and
facilitating access to modern therapies in line with international
health standards.
