Baghdad, Sep.14 (Petra) – Several key Jordanian publishing houses participated in the 26th edition of Baghdad International Book Fair, which recently opened in the Iraqi capital.
In remarks to “Petra” Sunday, Muhannad Halwa, a member of the Union of Jordanian Publishers (UJP), said the Kingdom’s participation reflects the “deep-rooted” Jordanian-Iraqi relations, noting the visitors’ “remarkable interest in Jordanian publishing houses’ releases, mainly scientific works.”
In turn, Head of Jabra Books, Ruqayya Kanaan, noted the “great interest” of Iraqi readers in the house’s literary titles.
The fair presents various releases from 349 publishing houses from around the world.
